It's not illegal to change lanes to get into the lane you want to be in after you make the turn as long as it's safe to do so. I waited my turn, there wasn't anyone behind me so what's the problem? The only reason she got pissed off was because she came rushing up to cut me off in a fit of road rage when she saw me trying to move over. At that point I stopped and let her go ahead of me. Tell me what I did wrong here?

Your diagram shows you changing lanes in the middle of an intersection, which is illegal.

What I'm saying is that if you are on a "green to yield" left turn light, and you are in the left most left turn lane, then when you make the turn onto the cross street, you should STILL be in the left most lane. What you did was go from left most left turn lane into the right most lane on the cross street. That is illegal in many states.

Ok, so I understand that you did that b/c the leftmost lane was backed up and if you stayed there, you would be blocking the intersection. That means you made a left turn when you could not safely do so.

Although not illegal, it is not wise to change lanes in an intersection-VC 07.A.05

You would conclude wrong. I haven't had a ticket or an accident in 10 years. I have an excellent driving record.

There were no cars in the lane I moved into. I just didn't want to wait at the light as that is a particularly long light. I guess I should have though. Probably would have pissed that dumb b!tch off even more. :laugh:
