RANT: Timex charges for Warranty Replacements

So I bought a cheapo watch from Timex about 3 months ago.
Got tired of wearing my good one to work and getting it scratched up,

This watch is supposedly 30m Water Resistant, but the first time it gets wet it stops working.

I call up to have it replaced and they tell me to mail it back with a check for $7 to cover "handling" and they'll repair or replace it.

The watch only cost $25.
They want me to pay $7 to replace a watch only 3 months old.....how ridiculous is that????

My Seiko Kinetic still works fine after about 3 years. 😀

We bought a large plastic clip (the kind you use on bags of snacks) which has a "lifetime warranty". The clip cost $1.50, and if it ever broke you could mail it back for a replacement if you included $2.50 for shipping and handling. I bet they don't get many takers!
