I got a parking ticket.

It says Improper Use of my Residential Parking Permit ?
How could that be ?
I have it stuck on the Driver side passenger door as the instructions were stated.
Time to go dispute the damn ticket, and waste 2 hours of my day. Hopefully it won't take too long and I'll meet some PoPo's I know.

Should I take a picture of the Parking permit on my car and show it to the Prosecutor ?
I get to see him before I see the judge. He can either drop it or have me go against the judge.
This happened once before, but it got dropped previously.

Woohoo Back from court.
Plead Not Guilty and got it dismissed.

Talked to the Meter maid that gave it to me. She was very sweet. Asked me if my window was tinted. Which I said yes, and she said exactly "oh then I can't see it". But she talked to the prosecutor and got it dropped 😀
Glad I took the digicam with the photos. Also took my Hang Tag as a backup.
 
Sounds like you have a decent chance...and if it's happened before, was it the same reason? If it was their fault with the same circumstances, than you should be fine.

Last time, they came around at 6-7pm in winter, (No snow) but their excuse was that they couldn't see my Residential Parking Permit. Went to court, found out that the Meter Maid dude is out on disability. His one big Porker (300+lbs i'd say) last time I saw him in his Cavalier.

What sucks was I had to wait 3 hours to get it resolved. It was a $20 dollar ticket.

This one is a $25 dollar ticket, which isn't much. But it's merely out of principle. I aint paying for something I didn't do wrong. 🙁 I wish you can sue em for time wasted or something.
 
Should've gotten a pic of the meter maid and proved that they can't see your pass due to their obesity (fat hits hood, etc.)

I got a stupid parking ticket earlier this year that ticketed me because I "failed to park at a meter." WTF? My car wasn't blocking anything at all, and there was no meter there, so I parked. I didn't bother contesting the $20 ticket tho', since I didn't want to waste my time. I just considered it my contribution to my town.
 
Leaving now with a Digicam + Ipod + Book in hand along with the ticket and the summons notice.
Proceedings start at 5, but I figure I'd get there a lil early.

That sounds like a violation that only succeeds when people, like you, are too lazy to contest it. It's basically the city squeezing as much money out of you as they can without you fighting back.
