RANT: The unoriginality these days

It just hit me today how unoriginal people are becoming and it seems that they do not have pride in what they do. For example, on anandtech.com's main page sometimes you will come across a flash ad with a turkey for 3gplaza.com. Look closer, yes it's a total ripoff from Southpark. The turkey and the background. I thought that was pretty bad when their website itself is ALSO a rip off from www.newegg.com

I also liked the bitter feud between Howard Stern and the O&A show but it was mostly proven that O&A were original while Howard Stern tried to rip off ideas (cherry tossing darts for example at strippers, was done first by O&A in 2001)

I think about this when I'm looking through the movie listings. Most of the new movies comming out are remakes or sequals or movies from books, etc... Lots of disney movies, LOTR, dawn of the dead, garfield move, and on and on...


Maybe it's always been this way though.
