AMD vs Intel

Both companies make great products that will fit most applications. Often the choice of processor is determined by what is available on the marketplace. AMD based machines are not as widely available from large computer companies. Many businesses would rather have stability than save a $100. (Take Hardocp's word for it) Many hobbyists like AMD as you get more bang for the buck. The choice is yours: compatibility and stability versus performance/value. There is always a tradeoff. Buy a prebuilt AMD system is the best bet if you want the value without the headaches. Keep in mind while Intel is profitable, AMD yo-yos around the profit line.

There we go... love the brainwashing... its beautiful

They say
Buy a prebuilt AMD system is the best bet if you want the value without the headaches
which is a direct contradiction of the ASSertion that AMD lacks compatibility and stability as the lack of those 2 things is the very definition of "headaches". In fact, the whole passage is nonsensical. Brainwashing? These clowns would have to first grow a brain before it could be washed 😛 😉

techbargains wrote this? since when do they do reviews? either way they should stop right now since it is obvious that they dont have a clue what their talking about

I'd take Intel over AMD if the money is there. However, there's no stability problem with AMD. Yeah, VIA mobos can suck a$$, but its not like they are the only choice anymore.

But hey...that quote is probably one of the reasons I've never even heard of that site.

they haves some valid points, but my machines current uptime is 4days running folding at home 24/7 at 97% so stability is not an issue.
