well i get a computer from my college, NJIT. its a major computer tech school so most of the students here know what they are doing with a computer. the cd burners are optorite 48x ones and mine died. just a faulty burner i think but it is definately the burner.
now i just talked to the computer services department and they wont let me just bring the burner back and have them rma or give me another even though thats all they will do. i have to return the pc to stock and then give it to them for a month or so while they "diagnose" the problem. i also have to back everything up becuase they wipe the computer clean to fix it.
just a a major PIA for me.
maybe ill just grab a liteon from the next hot deal that pops up....
