Stop bouncing checks. Problem solved.
As mentioned previously, if you're a good client, you can call up and try to get some or all of the fees waived. We waive fees like you wouldn't believe where I work.
As also mentioned previously, both philosophies apply:
1. Banks figure that the biggest checks are the most important and pay those first (e.g. Rent check vs. Best Buy check)
2. Banks are in it for the money. So is every other corporation on the planet. Duh.
