I'm at a bookstore typing up a paper when this good looking girl asks me about my laptop. (*NO PICS*)

She starts off pretending to be looking for a laptop, then we start a conversation about other things. things are going nicely, then she tells me she has her own business and how great it is, flexible hours, etc, etc. when i asked what kind of business it is, she says AMWAY. Then she tells me about their next meeting, and if i would like to come. I politely say no. we chat for a few more minutes, then she makes an excuse to leave.

Damn pyramid schemers! I wouldn't be so pissed off i wasnt on a deadline 🙁

the moment she said "Amway", I laughed and told her to get the fvck outta my face.

It was worth it to see the expression on her face.
 
I had something similar, but she was just looking on advise on a laptop to get. Her boyfriend didn't seem pleased that she spent a good 10 minutes talking to me while he was waiting leaning against a bookcase. 😀

Oh well, tell your friends about the girl, but not about the amway.

You buy into it, sell crappy sh!t from crappy catalogs, and get almost nothing for it, you also try to get(con) other people to buy in so they can sell stuff and get very little but make you very little as well. I think thats a good way of explaining it.

an amway persons recruits you under the pretense that a portion of the profit you make from selling goes to them-- the more people they recruit-- the more money they make.. in return, you recruit people and make a share of thier profits... all by selling crappy products that no one buys.
