RANT: Shipping promises!!!!

I order my new processor Monday night. The place I ordered it from advertises free 2nd day Fedex Shipping. I'm thinking, great, I can have this before the weekend.

So all day Tuesday it sits and is listed as freaking processing.

Now Wed it sits and is listed as packed all day.

What is so damn tough about placing my processor in a freaking box and handing it off to FEDEX!!!!!


Does anyone know if with 2nd day shipping if it leaves on Thursday, does that mean I'll get it Friday? Or is it monday like I'm thinking

I've been toughing it out with a k2-375 mhz processor, 192 megs of RAM, no harddrive - and damnsmalllinux - I'm ready for my computer to be back.
 
i would think 2nd day shipping meant you'd get it on the 2nd day. Wednesday.

There are lots of complaints about shipping problems on this forum.
 
well, 2-day shipping only really means from the time it ships. The order processing time can be a couple days, depending on the merchant. You could always complain, because you -did- expect 2-day shipping, meaning Thursday, possibly Friday delivery.
