So I bought a 200GB Seagate that turned out to be defective out of the box, problem is I didn't test it in time and it was past the store's return policy. I RMA'd the sucker, and a replacement was shipped out by Seagate pretty quick.

However, they REQUIRED that I sign on delivery for the package (no signing a sheet of paper and asking them to leave it outside). I asked if they could hold it, they said no problem. Three days later I ask them to ship it to my house (last friday), they said no problem. They never ship it. I called them up yesterday, they said somebody will call me within an hour. Nobody calls. I call them at night, the guy tells me it will be shipped out to my place today. I call today, they said it's being shipped out to the sender and there's nothing I can do.

I don't urgently need the drive, but wtf? I *DO* eventually want it dammit. The UPS center where I can pick it up is only open Mon-Fri, 9-7. Closed Saturday/Sunday. How the hell are working people supposed to be able to sign for a package if they work?

AAARGH.

My company's not too big on that, in fact I heard they fired somebody for doing that. Stupid, I know.

Hire an illegal alien that entered our borders through Mexico and have them sign for it?

I'm assuming that if he lives 50 miles from home, his commute is at least an hour each way.
