I also have AIM but I use MSN to hide from people who use AIM if that makes sense. and I got AIM because I was hiding from people on ICQ. It's a never ending vicious cycle.

AIM has never crashed on me. What are you talking about? AIM is very stable. I've been using it since '98.

RossMAN: AIM has a feature called "block." Use it!

However if people suspect that I blocked them on AIM they could login under a different nick name which I am not familar with then add me to their buddy list to see if I am in fact online and hiding from them, see it isn't foolproof. Where as on my MSN Messenger I can accept or decline who wants to add me to their buddy list.

MSN just needs to become 1) stable and 2) allow you to send offline messages (ICQ & Yahoo) then it'll be even better.

rossman, on AIM you can enable blocks on people not on your blist. solves your problem unless u like strange people msging you outta nowhere

No there is a feature that only allows people who are on YOUR buddylist. Which means if you block someone on your BL and then they sign on to a name that isn't on your BL that you don't know about, then you'll still be offline when they try to buddylist you on their new name.

AIM rox, like I said RossMAN, it's time to migrate!
