i sold my ps2 w/ some accessories and a bunch of games for $360. and i shipped out first since i have no heatware. he recieved the ps2, and sent out payment. he told me that he would send the money the same way i sent the ps2, (2 day priority), but instead he normal mailed it. and also, he said he would make a money order as payment.

today i recieved the payment (personal check for $360). and went to cash it, and he didn't sign the check @ the bottom right :(.

he is a nice guy, and has good feedback, and i really need the money by friday. i asked him to wire the money to my friends account and cancel the check.... i hope he does that.

Your bank might still accept the check if you guarantee it. They probably have a specific endorsement you would have to use - something like "Lack of signature guaranteed" followed by your endorsement. If they accept it, you would have to refund the bank if the check bounces (plus fees). Depends on how confident you are that the check is good.

Did you ask your bank?

Banks usually charge an incoming wire transfer, normally around $10 just so you know.

Let this be a lesson to you =)

Yes, my bank never accepts non-signed checks unless it's one of those printed ones that you get from rebates.... i hope you get your money in full.

Unless your bank memo posts incoming wire transfer credits you probably won't see it until batch processing occurs tonight. You'll see it in your account tomorrow morning.

They do have that stamp.. but they usually don't use that stamp on personal accounts... and its YMMV depending on manager and banks

He messaged me last night saying he would call me between 10-11. Its now 4:15 his time :|

His phone number wasen't on the personal check, but I looked it up on some online white pages, and I got his number, so I am going to call him as soon as I get a break!

watch for red flags...like this guy last week selling "his" ti4600 for the same price as a 4200, he was a junior member, no refs, and would not ship first. i tend not to leave neg heat if any discrepancies are solved in a reasonable amount of time...
