I'm just getting downright sick and disgusted by people following cars these days. I can understand that having a decent sized engine can benefit someone who is a daily driver by making it easier with highways driving etc.., but still seems overdone. On TV you'll see car shows where they talk about how excited they are for a company to unveil the latest car, which happens to be the exact same car as they had last year except they have an option where you can blow another 5,000 dollars of your paycheck to get a slightly bigger and faster engine, as if this is somehow a huge breakthrough in the car industry.
The car show people also brag about how "exciting" it is to drive these cars, showing clips of people weaving, sliding, racing, on professionally enclosed tracks. No one, not even .5% of America is ever going to drive a car in an isolated track environment.
My final piece of this rant is about people who are the "fans" of cars such as Ferraris, Mustangs, or Porsches. Of course SOME of these cars look nice, but is it really worth you collecting miniatures, posters, and drolling over some luxury car that you will never come close to affording?
In conclusion, rednecks, ignants, and other buffoons waste so much of their limited brain capacity fussing over pieces of metal that look nice but have very little advantage over less expensive pieces of metal. Thus driving an industry of cars where prices are expensive, cars are not efficient in using fuel, and utilitarian cars are forced to the wayside.

That is all

This is Flame Bait pure and simple and we don't have the time nor the patience to deal with the uproar it will cause. You've said your piece and now we all know how you feel. We'll leave it at that!
