I can't stand it when people use my computer. I dunno why..privacy issues, maybe. It just pisses me off so much when someone just decides to sit down and start using it....and doesn't ask permission first. Yo..my computer is my baby...(however crappy it is)..and just anything else that belongs to me..I'd really appreciate it if people would ASK first before using. bleh...

Which is why I have my own computer which no one else uses.

Plus I have screensaver set to auto-lock it to keep parents from looking at Trillian.
 
well...it IS my own computer...and I DO lock it. But people somehow manage to get on it before the screensaver comes on and locks.

So windows key + L locks it manually? the password would be the same a the one I use to exit screensaver, right?

well...if my parents start doing that i might be a little worried...otherwise i would just be worried that they were looking at it with other guys in the room

In that case Windows Key + L doesn't work. You'll have to ctrl+alt+del and choose "Lock Computer".

Password should be that which you use to logon with.
 
I don't mind people using my computer at all. What I hate is people who read over my shoulder while I'm writing an email or IM, etc. I mean, I don't pick up the phone and listen in while you're talking on it, right?

If you dont want them using your computer permanently,
Take a large magnet and rub it all over your computer + Monitor.

I guarantee you that either you or other people that tries to use it won't be able to. ^_^
