Rant on the Media

Why oh why do they have to find a scapegoat to go after EVERY TIME something bad happens? When something truly bad happens, they feel they need to dig in and find the 'root' cause. Why can't they just state that the person is f-ed up in the head? Here's a shocking possibility, maybe violent music/movies/games don't cause violence at all - but people who are predisposed to violence since birth are drawn to it? If you put the people finding reasons to blame other sources for the actions of a few tools - what would they do if you asked them to explain crimes 100, 200, 500 years ago? If you can lay the blame on those sources, why can't they look in the mirror? They're showing the successful shooting victims in real life, not a simulation. What provides a better foundation for future psychos, real/live footage or a video game??

Like this tool, Jack Thompson, he's a perfect example of trying to put the blame on something other than the person(s) at fault. He states that counter strike is at fault for training the Va Tech shooter, and his ability to do it so calmly. What a moron... anyone that's capable of doing this can get this supposed 'training' in dozens of forms. If it wasn't CS, it would've been paint ball, if it wasn't paint ball it was civil war reenactments.... and so on....

It seems that our society is becoming so lazy and irresponsible that no one is willing to do what's right, instead of what's easy. What's easy is to make money off of making a big deal off of going after the easy targets. Violent movies, games, sports, etc are easy targets.

I think it's closely connected to political correctness, which, IMO, is fundamentally killing the US. The pussification of America infuriates me. I only wish I were smart enough to figure out a way to resolve the problem. As it stands, I can only try to avoid being a part of it.

Why did so many people have hard time believing that Lee Oswald did it himself? Or why are there still people believing in 9/11 conspiracy?

People dont want to here that life is random and one f-ed up individual can cause such a mess. They like to think that there are bigger forces behind everything that happens.

*insert obligatory God related comment*

There's a difference between a reason and an excuse. That there are reasons why he did it does not excuse what he did.

Yeah.... kinda like the difference between examples and basis. My rant is based on examples that tragedy, mugs.
