Man.

I've been using Office 2k for FOREVER.....and have updated to Office XP about six months ago.

Other then the nifty toolbar changes in Word (there's a couple that I like...recent files, and styles), man what a bloated whore.

I run two identical machines for testing purposes, and one has Office 2k and the other has Office XP. And the 2k one is way faster running off the same pst file.....way faster.

M$FT=new products=more bloated=more features

I wish like hell I could just use Linux for everythting....but I must admit, I'm a bit spoiled by the Winders development environment and tools available.

Just a thought. NO way I'll go to the next release of XP. No way. Gonna go back to 2k soon.

I don't know if it's a "must have" reason, but I love the Task Pane in Word and the added features that Outlook has, such as Hotmail support 🙂
 
I absolutely love the native pivot chart and pivot table integration straight into queries that Access XP has. It saves a lot of time and generates extremely useful information.
 
dunno, i get rid of that bar on the side and switch it to the tree view. then ist basically like 2k. dunno, 2k used to die when i clicked too many links in my email, xp is rock stable. with processors as fast as they are these days i don't notice a differenc ein speed.
