RANT: Office Max, you suck...

So I ordered a pretty nice desk from them last Sunday in which they said it would be delivered on Tuesday. Come Tuesday, nothing. We give them a call on their 1-800 number then they say they didn't know whether or not to charge it so they didn't. They say they'd charge it that night then have it delivered on Thursday. Come Thursday and nothing. We called them three times that day but they said it was out for delivery. Come today, waited the entire day, nothing. Called at around 7 and they finally told us that four drivers said they "couldn't do it" and passed it down to another driver everytime. So the first driver said he couldn't do it so he put it on another guy's truck, then another guy's then another guy's and now I have to wait until Monday to get it. What the hell is that? I was this close to cancelling it and going somewhere else but this desk matches my room perfectly if I ever get it. Should I do anything to get some sort of discount? I'm seriously pissed about this. I was looking forward to getting my room all finished by this weekend and it turns out now I can't. Just my fvckin' luck.

When the driver shows up on Monday kidnap his ass and chain him to a pipe in the crawlspace of your house. When Office Max calls you looking for him say you want a discount and then you will tell them where he went. When you get your discount, chloroform the driver and hit him in the head with a tack hammer. He won't remember anything and you get your discount.

Edit- Oh, or you could use a bear trap on him. Those work well.

Go to the store and talk to a manager, see if any stores in that area have it in stock and whatnot.

Went to OM last sunday looking for the $10 USB floppy drive... first store, out of stock (nothing on the shelf). Second store, two (empty) boxes on the shelf plus a stack (10 or so) tags to take to the register (they apparently think people are going to rip them off), so I take a tag to the register & teh clerk says, "Oh, we're out of those. But we have a truck coming tomorrow that's supposed to have more, so check back Tuesday."

Third store, they actually have the drive I'm looking for. While I'm there I see the tag on the shelf for the DVD-RW drive that's on sale (but no drives), so I ask the employee that's standing there if they have any more -- his answer, "NO, if they're not on the shelf...", like it's a major effort for him to answer a simple fscking question...
