I dunno if any other state makes being a douchebag a ticketable offense.

This story is amusing to me, because I have a stereotype in my mind of mulletted halfwits that usually drive those mid-80s Cutlass/Monte Carlo/Grand Nationals and his actions fall right into line with that stereotype.

Yeap, even reckless driving if the cop see's it.

Brake checking is illegal aggressive driving (aka "Road Rage"). You should have reported him.

Had he forced you to rear-end him with his brake checks, the accident would have been his fault (unless you live in a "no-fault" state).

Call it in the DMV... say that it was an elderly driver and you're concerned about his safety and that of other drivers :)

She follows him for like 10 minutes and all of us are freaking out.

Ahh, those were the days :D
Ah that's nothing. If someone cuts me off so bad that I almost wreck (unfortunately not an uncommon occurrence), I generally give them a piece of my mind. Especially if they didn't signal. God how I fscking hate people who don't use their turn signals....
My opinion is that if you can't drive properly, you can't make yourself aware of your surroundings, and if your inabilities endanger other people on the road, then you don't belong on the road. It does piss me off that our system rewards incompetent drivers. If you're one of those incompetent clueless drivers, and your poor driving abilities put me in danger, I'm not going to be very kind to you.

But the OP's scenario is completely different. He didn't cut off the GN driver or endanger him, he just pulled in behind him. That guy had no reason to be upset and sounds like a real asshole.

Heh, a car length at highway speeds is grossly inadequate. When somebody is that close to me I tap the brakes on to scare them into backing off. It's surprising how slowly some people get that hint.

Yeah, more like 4-5 car lengths at highway speeds!!

Confused

one car lenght per 10 MPH, or two seconds between cars.

Double in rain, triple in snow.
