RANT - Noisy neighbors

I moved from an apt that was noisy because the folks upstairs played music late at night.
then we moved into my gf's cousin's house (row home) and it was a blessing since we dont have
to worry about anyone above us.

Well, let me introduce the ppl next door. I didnt know this, but the house we live in used to be their
relatives house until they sold it to my gf's cousin. So, these ppl have been stealing cable from my house because they had run a line from my house to their house through the basement! So I'm cool and all, but now the dude wants to know if he could tap into my directv. anyways, i said no and now they're playing karaoke all fvcking day. I can hear it through the walls as I type. Last night it didnt end until 11:30PM. i really want to be a nice guy and all, but enough is enough.

Cut the cable. Claim it was an accident when you were trying to fix up the place. Report them to the cable company if they try and fix it.

I'd ask them to stfu first, and if they act spiteful then report them.
 
Call the cable company, call the police. Tell each of them how they're stealing cable and complain about the noise. They're doing something that could get you into trouble, and they have no respect for your solitude. Don't be surprised if they start throwing empty beer cans in your yard if you don't do something about it.

Nah. It's a federal offense to steal cable. Call the local cable company.
 
gf doesnt want to get involved. Asian ppl got this thing where you dont mess with one another and since I'm only 24 and the dude next door is older than me (he has a family) I'm supposed to respect them. BUT come on, music until 11:30PM?! the guy doesnt have to work cuz hes on disability, but others have to work.

As for the cable. Let me take that back. A couple of years back they were sharing cable with my gf's cousin. Then they became cheap and didnt want to pay half like they were supposed to. My gf's cousin disconnected their line, which ran from his basement to the neighbor's basement and then fed through all the rooms in his house. So the cable company came out last month and did a sweep of south philly (you dont need the convertor box to see the cable as long as a signal comes through) and capped off the signal to those who werent paying.

Obviously I pay for my cable and my internet connection and he came around last week to ask for my cable connection. I let the fool reconnect it knowing I would be terminating it within a few days so I could get directv. All is well since the comcast man capped off the cable tv signal and left me with my cable modem. So the neighbor comes around and asked how much Im paying for directv. I tell him and he proposes that we split the fee in half and he wants to convertors in his house running from my satellite dish. He states that he knows someone. I wanna see the fool try to sneak this one by me while I'm away.

Since he doesn't work and probably doesn't wake up earlier, blast you music loud early in the morning to wake his ass up.
 
everyone here is so passive-agressive... have you tried just talking to him about it? you know, in a nice, respectful kinda way.
