Some punks were driving down the road. They would cut people off and slam on the brakes. They would then proceed to go 10MPH. From what I was told, they did this for a few miles. Eventually they ended up cutting someone off and caused that person to swerve.

I was in the middle lane and witnissed that happen during rush hour in the left lane one time. I'm sure it caused all kinds of backups way back and probably a few accidents as well. I think it was a roadrage kinda thing, but, I had already passed and didn't get a good look at driver/car or I would have called cops.

I was driving along and it happened next to me but I couldn't stop or I'd risk causing an accident myself. I was pissed for that reason too, I wanted to do something. Hopefully someone else did.

This is why I live close to public transportation. In Portland (and surrounding areas) we have a Light Rail called the MAX. It runs right along side a major Highway 26. Sometimes I'll be on the MAX and see a fender-bender, but traffic will be backed up in both directions (from downtown to the burbs) for miles. Hundreds of cars will be parked and I just stick my tongue out at them :p

I understand your frustration though. I've had similar things happen to me in the morning and it just ruins your day. Hope it ends better than it started :)

You went back up the on-ramp?

Wow, I've never seen that before. I've turned onto the freeway before and it was pretty slow going, but never seen that!

Heh, I used to regularly get on I-4 eastbound to go SW because the 1/4 mile between the eastbound & westbound entrances would take 45 minutes otherwise.

Do you stick your thumbs in your ears and wave your fingers for maximum effect?

J/K ;)

I wish my city had trains. We used to have street cars, and I hear they were quite excellent in their day), but they shut those down long before I was born. They're building a single LRT line (thanks, Jesse Ventura, for the great start).

I wish the damn politicians would figure out that people like trains and will use them for daily commuting (look no farther than the Chicago area Metra!), but they just keep throwing more bus lines in and wonder why nobody rides them. Here a clue: busses are subject to the same traffic delays cars are, so there is no advantage, and hence people don't use them.

they should start something where you have to pass a psychological test to even get your license...

...but then all those crazy hicks in the south will go crazy with their pitchforks and whatnot...
