I hate my school. Here is why:
I took a year off to pursue other interests (get some "real world" experience, take some community college classes on the side). Was assured that it would be no problem to come back.
About four months ago I assured them that I was indeed coming back and asked them to send me the paperwork so I could get started on coming back. Three months later, I finally received an acceptance letter and the form I needed to fill out. I promptly filled it out and sent it back.
By this point registration for classes next year begins in 3 weeks. I wait a week and then try to contact them about registration. The first person I talk to tells me that I need to talk to this other person, and so I am transferred. This happens 3 times until I am transferred to someone's voicemail because they are not there. I leave a message. Two days later I haven't heard back so I repeat the process and again get someone's voicemail. Never heard back from them.
Finally I got fed up and had my mom call (this is about a week before registration begins) - she had slightly better luck and actually got to talk to someone, but they told her that I would have to email this person the list of classes that I wanted and she would try to register me for them. So I sent the email immediately. A week later (registration has started), I still haven't heard anything back so I send the email again. 2 days later I receive an email apologizing for the lack of response because she was too busy. No word on my classes. Registration has been going on for nearly two weeks now and I finally heard back about my classes: I wasn't able to get into two of the classes (which I happen to need in order to graduate) becaus they were...you guessed it, FULL!
I should have started the re-admittance and registration process a month after I left, maybe they would have had time to get their act together that way.
If they don't get this straightened out soon, I'm going to have to contact the president and the dean. If that doesn't work I may have to take the palestinian approach to getting things your way.
