Rant: my brother strikes again...

So I was going to take over payments on my brother's 2000 Galant... we had it all planned out, he was getting a new car, and I was just going to take over payments on his car. I was going to fly in on the 30th, go to a concert with him on the 31st (which I already bought the ticket for), then drive the Galant back to Michigan. So last night I book the plane ticket... $200 one way from Detroit to Philadelphia... with a layover in Atlanta!! (figure THAT one out) Now he e-mails me this morning and says he's having trouble finding himself a car and may not be able to turn his car over to me yet. WTF!!!! I already spent over $200 on this damn plan... now he tells me I might not be able to drive the car home... so... either I pay another $200 for another one way ticket back home... so I end up paying like $420 to go to this god damn concert... or I try to get a refund on this stupid plane ticket and screw the whole trip and I'm out $20 for the concert and whatever I don't get back on the plane ticket! :| :| :| :| :|

If there was a verbal agreement before hand, he should pay for your ticket home out of curtsey. That's if you can't refund your ticket.

Ah come on. $500 to get to see your brother and hang out with him at a concert isn't really a bad investment. He won't be around forever and you'll miss him when he's gone.
