Rant: My Apartment Complex

I've lived in the same apartment complex for close to a year now, and have always paid my rent on time. Always on the 5th, I drop my check into the small drop box and forget about it. Well yesterday I received a note saying that my rent was $25 dollars short, and it was late ($121.50 fee). I had spoken with them around the 31st telling them that no longer was I going to have a pet in the apartment so the manager had made the correct adjustments to my account (according to her). AAAAAAAAAnyways, today I come home to a red notice saying that if I don't pay them their money by the 13th I will be evicted.
GOD DAMN THEM. So now I have to take time off work and go in there on Monday and fix all this $hit because they can't get their books right.

Get everything in writing.

Lesson learned: verbal contracts are worth the paper they are printed on.

 
WOW, they give you 4 whole days before they evict? Are they expecting you out in 4 days if you don't pay, or they will file in 4 days?

i HATE apt /property managers. i have never had a good experience with any of them. they NEVER have their sht together, always lose things, and rarely work
