I think some of you are taking what I said way too far. I don't have a job offer in Pittsburgh, and they didn't want me to transfer to Pittsburgh. Right now, all I have is interest from the guys I worked with there, and one of the guy's personal e-mail addresses. Of course I am going to look into it further.
I don't see what the benefit of moving would be.
Look at the big picture. You're in a very small employment market. You might find something, but your pickings are slim. If you move to a metro area with 2 million+ (like Pittsburgh, Indy, Cincy, etc), you will have MANY more options your entire life.
As I said in my previous post, I faced a similar scenario many years ago but there was no way I was going to get stranded in freaking Tonawanda NY so I bought time and found something local.
