Today I went to Carls Jr. and ordered a Super Star. Paid my $1.50 and as they handed me the bag I asked for some ketchup. They give me this look like I'm asking them to go make it themselves. Then they drop in two freaking packets of ketchup. Why are these people so damn tight with condiments? This happens everywhere I go. Every fast food joint anyway. Has anyone ever worked for one of these places? Do they tell you to guard the condiments with your life, or what?

Some fast food places I've seen charge extra for more sauce. Others just won't give them to you unless you order the requisite item -- i.e. I went to a McD's and got shafted for BBQ sauce for my chicken sandwich b/c I didn't order nuggets. WTF?

Technically they state one napkin per item, not sure about condiment packets.
I'm the same way, though. Medium fry takes at least 6-8 packets.

this is AMERICA, we fat lazy bastards demand our condiments because we obviously are a sodium deprived society.
on that note, I eat way too much ketchup, go through bottles at home like they're nuttin'
I wouldn't even mind if they were to charge me tho, it's just why the attitude? It almost seems like they get commission on how many packets are left at the end of their shift.
I get the same thing too. They look at me like I'm scum of the earth. Wendy's seems to throw the biggest fit. Do they count the packets of ketchup before and after a shift and deduct it from their pay or what? Just give me a handful of ketchup for my fries, damnit!
I think it was Dennis Leary or Dennis Miller that said that if the fast food industry, with all their salads and $hit really wanted to innovate, they'd re-invent the ketchup packet to be about 3 or 4 times the size of a single packet now. Less waste, more ketchup. I don't know though, all those lazy ass fast food workers might find it more difficult to lift a larger condiment packet though.

Isn't the Super Star a double hamburger already loaded with ketchep? I know for a fact mines dripping quite a bit when I have one.
