I recommend rediscovering your PC. You have a great rig there and you've ignored it. Maybe you should have asked for pc game recommendations in the PC gaming forum?

You haven't even played Oblivion?!! That came out in 2006. How many other great PC games have you missed since then? Have you played Dawn of War, Company of Heroes or Bioshock, the original STALKER?
Theres nothing wrong with consoles. They have their place. I owned pretty much every console since the 70's up to my current PS3 and Wii. Just don't let your new addiction impair your judgment. Historically "PC" genres (FPS, RTS, STRAT, 3rd person adventure, etc) are still more enjoyable on the PC and the same goes for consoles genres.
Basically, buy exclusives for their desinated platforms and for the multi platform titles get the PC version unless the genre belongs on the console. You'll thank yourself later with the better graphics your 4870 displays and the mods the PC gaming community provides. The PC version of Oblivion destroys the console version due to all the awesome mods that have been created.
Also extra content is usually charged for on the 360 and given for free for the PC. You can thank Microsoft and their greed for that.
