RANT: God damn soccer moms....

AAAAH this is the xth time this week i had my ears pierced with the worst possible noise coming out of some minivans brakes.

How DUMB do you have to be to not notice your brakes sound like some pulled the mergency brake on a subway train. Every time i walk to work I see a minivan thats got brakes worn down so much that the frequency in Hz of the sound it makes is in 4 digits.

Serisouly though, if the brake screech resonates in your teeth, wouldn't you think its time to take the car in???

My cars breaks just squeal. They squeal worse when wet. I have brought them in to be checked and was informed they were fine. Its just the way they are.
 
aaaah isnt it great to know those are the same brakes they will use when they try to stop after yapping on the phone and not seeing you until the last possible minute before they slam into you causing your trunk to come to rest in your backseat? Enjoy! 😛

Yes, very lame. I had some hope for it given the title and the subject, but the follow thru just sucked all the wind out of it.

Besides, don't you know that all real soccer moms now drive Ford Exploders and Abominations? The little friggen soccer ball sticker in the back even tells you so.

as to the affordability....a brake job isnt that much. seriously.
 
I've heard a story of a guy that knew very little about cars. When his brakes started to make noise, he went to his father. His father looked it over and said, "Well, that's because these metal bent pieces are hitting metal! They shouldn't be doing that!" So, his father bent/cut the metal parts off, the brakes no longer made noise, and they both thought everything was great. When he finally did get new brakes, he needed new rotors. 😉

Yup. Friend also asked why his new brakes started squealing too.
 
Brakes can also do that if they are aftermarket.
I put new rear brakes on the Lexus and like 5 different people told me that they will make some noise
because nothing beats OEM.

Front brakes make a $hitload of noise, but the pads are almost new and OEM!
