rant: "fun summer movies"

If there is one thing in this world that pisses me right off it's everybody saying something is a fun summer movie. WTF makes it so much more fun in the summer than anywhere else? Why do movies that are crap on a big screen the rest of the year get the title of a fun summer movie? You people make me sick, and if i had my way you would all have to sit through the so called "fun summer movies" during other seasons of the year, then have your eyes gouged out with a spork so you could no longer watch a decent movie, during any season.

That's just the way the movie industry has been for a while now.

The "fun" action-adventure movies are saved for the summer.

The serious dramatic flicks are saved for the fall and winter so that they'll be on the minds of Oscar voters.

The pure crap is put out in the early Spring.
