FYI the original Offtopic Forum was created because the Religious Zealots were flooding the General Hardware Forum with their BS. Of course this is way before OT was infected with all the AOL Chatroom Kiddies and Neffs.

Another point, why should Religious beliefs be spared from criticism and mockery when it's perfectly acceptable to mock others Political beliefs?

Right, let incivility reign!

Is that really what we all want here?

So you are for creating a new forum for Religious topics?

If it would reduce the number flame wars, I'd be for it, but I doubt that will happen.

Where do you draw the line regarding creating new forums? Are we going to have a car forum, a girl problem forum, etc?

Nothing says God exists. Why discuss an unknown entity?

You should probably start a thread to discuss that, seeing as how this thread is about whether or not there are too many religious threads.

No, I am casting doubt on you comparing car threads to God. We know cars exist, so that allow us to deal with tangible problems. Nothing tangible about God...

Are you trying to imply there's something tangible about God? You have proof he exists that's managed to escape all of mankind for the last few thousand years?

I'm not an atheist btw. I do believe in some form of a higher power, but I don't believe in people making stupid-ass comparisons. Religion threads here suck. I'd consider my self more closely allied with Christians than atheists, but you both piss me the hell of. I was just telling alisolm that her comparison was not very bright. Car threads have a legitimate real world purpose. Religion stuff just creates wars.
