Rant: driving in the city sucks!

all the bumpy roads and potholes :|:|:|
people are so reckless with all the stop-and-go traffic.
the only way to park is parallel parking.

🙁 for my car...I only have it for 2 weeks.

Yeah I despise the potholes and uneven roads... rattles old cars to pieces. I don't mind reckless drivers so long as they don't actually hit me. Gotta be assertive or you're not going anywhere. Parking isn't so bad... just hope your bumper is a real bumper. 😉

ummm taking the bus/subway is far far worse...

can't wait to get a car... what car is yours btw?

indeed, I hate bus and subway BOTH!
mine is a 96 subaru impreze outback. my car is not a city car. ouch...

if you are going to get a car, go farther. STAY THE FVCK AWAY FROM CITY CARS. I can't imagine how good a low mileage city car can be.

Heh, I discovered all this back in 1984 when I learned to drive. NYC...why would anyone want to live there?

DISCLAIMER: I was BORN there and LEFT there when I was 25. There's nothing I don't know about NYC. It is an expensive as hell, ZERO investment on return, Sleazepit of all that is wrong with the world.

Texas > NYC.

ps
I do miss "Museum Row" that's about it.

You go to hell. You go to hell and you die.

/Mr. Garrison 😛

maybe I'm crazy, but I actually enjoy driving in NYC. if I get bored on my nights off, I do it for fun.

not that I'd actually live there (I'm too poor and hate studios), but I like that it's only a 5 minute drive away.

Don't drive on Canal Street. It may be the worst road in America.
Any of those roads around chinatown are bad. Even the one way streets take forever to get through because of cars that decide to "block the [nonexistant] box".
