I mean, let's say I want to search for "Jane Doe" and Facebook returns 5,000 results with that name. I then filter in Advanced by age range, say "25-30" and what do I get back? 10 names from my "Washington, DC" Network only, none of which ghave the name "Jane Doe".

And let's say I join a group with 6,000 members. Why can't I search that group's members and that group only for a certain name or age range? WTF!

For example, I just joined the "Military Brats" group with some 6,000 members. I would love to see who is a member around my age of 28. Perhaps I know them. No way I am going to click through 600 pages!

Yes. Facebook sucks. Its the Same with Myspace, Xanga. Its like Achievement points on Xbox Live. You have x amount of more friends than another person, so that makes you better than them.

I hate it when you see people on page 1, then goto page 2 and it shows the same people again. What makes me laugh though is that they are like "omg we only hire the most outstanding geniuses who can waste time by solving trick problems in job interviews" in their job listings.

I always thought that was Opera being dumb. Then I realized that Opera is amazing and it was really just facebook.

I wonder which is worse in terms of utility on their respective sites. Fusetalk search or Facebook search?

Did you read the OP? His point was about the search function, which really is bad.

On occasion, I've had trouble finding people from my own school. I'd end up finding people by looking at friends of mutual friends.

I think the guy who wrote Facebook search is the same guy who wrote the AT search.
