Rant: Dell.

Alright so here is my story/rant.

I recently bought a nice digital camera from Dell. They were backordered so I had to wait a month to get the item. And also at the same time, I bought a 256 MB Compact Flash card from them. However, after THREE Months of calling in, waiting, calling back in, etc. I finally get the item right three months later. (During shipment and packaging, either the warehouse or the shippers lost the package and so I had to wait that long for the investigation to occur).

Okay I had had enough and called those bastards to CANCEL my order. Went through the usual and customary way to cancel and went through with the CSR to credit my credit cards. Okay fine, so I thought my order was cancelled and I could go ahead and purchase another CF card from Amazon (their shipping ROCKS!). NOW, just moments ago, the damn Airborne Express people dropped off a package from DELL! Apparently the RETARD CSR didn't cancel the order. (BTW, I wasn't rude or condescending or anything on the phone).

So here I am, at home, stuck with TWO 256 MB Compact Flash cards. DELL SUCKS!

[Cliff Notes]

1. Order Dell 256 MB Compact Flash card.
2. Cancel order and order from Amazon.
3. Previous order from Dell arrives and now I'm stuck with two 256MB CF cards.

Given the choice I'd rather give my business to Amazon rather than Dell.

Unfortunately Dell's specials are too good to pass up 🙁

if you got them for cheap, just keep both. I just got back from vacation...used up 6 128mb cards, 4 32mb cards a half of a 64mb card...lot of memory can come in handy 🙂

Call the number on your credit card and do an automated balance inquiry...or go online if you have an extra-spiffy card. That way you'll know if you got charged. If you did, I would call Dell ASAP and ask to talk to a CSR manager to straighten this out.

I agree with ya there😛

this does suck.. but imagine the hastle if you would have gotten HP or Compaq or heaven forbid GHEYWAY gear..... you would have been waiting another 4 months for the investigation to start because they dont know where to find the toilet paper in the bathroom they are so stupid
