Rant - Damn Novell servers!

Just had to bitch and moan...node one of our three node cluster decided to take a nose dive and all my other resources went comatose....
Seems like when they go down they go down hard.

IPX/SPX was around long before TCP/IP. Of course, TCP/IP is what the world runs on...but Novell was IT back in the day.

Still using Novell...hehe funny how users can't add Novell printers themselves... Anyhow, the conversion to a pure Windows 2K is starting.

You're in a bad mood? Try running Netware 4.11. I can't wait till we upgrade to Windows Server 2003 from our NT 4 domain and NDS. Our servers go down about once a week.

And TCP/IP is what netware servers run on today. They've been IPX free since netware 5

Don't know what you're talking about since users sure can add printers, just like in a pure win2k environment.

I have 4.11 servers running IPX too, so youre not alone there, we have about 5-6 of them.
Most of our 100 or so servers are now 6.5

Comapred to microsoft (NOS only) it is yards ahead. Security, ease of management, Microsoft AD cant touch Edirectory.
