ok, i don't know about you, but this is the last time I go to CVS if i can avoid it. They NEVER have anything that's "on sale" in stock, and if they do, you never know when its gunna be in. But this isn't about that, on page 14 of this weeks sale paper, on the bottom is 2 crest electric toothbrushes for $9.99. It's saturday, i don't think they'll have it, but my mom says try anyway, a little add on fun gift for my little cousins birthday. Sure, why not, something to amuse the little kids :p

Ok, i'm at checkout, holding out my "Care card"... i've never used it, but I've used safeways/giants... so i take the assumption they will swipe it afterwards. Note, i'm holding it in my hands, in front of the cashier. After she rings stuff up, i'm like "uh.. don't you want this?" lifting my hand off the counter w/ my card in my hand. "no, you won't get anything off" what!?, what's the point... she continues to unring the items and i say "you have to ring the card beforehand?" ... "yes".... ugh.. stupid. Ok, so maybe i didn't know exactly how it works, but if they see my holding my CVS card, i'm not holding it to say "look at this red POS!".. could have said something to me. Giant and safeway it doesn't matter. Rings it up again, nothing... i'm like "WTF, it's on sale" I'm very annoyed cause i've been waiting cause before they didn't have any change, and the lady before that had a problem w/ the price of a bottle of water. I'm fed up and say "you know what, forget it" and head towards the door. They have a flyer there, so i pick it up, bring it back to the cashier and point to the ad.. "here, see, it's on sale" and leave.

Thus also aggrivating the fact I hate these stupid "card cards" and "bonus cards". At least giant/safeway aren't stupid and make you swipe it beforehand.

UGH.. and it's raining too. yay.

Rant, over.

I remember being solicited for one of those in the GNC store a while back. I don't remember what it cost but the only benefit was 10% off on the first Tuesday of each month. I asked the clerk if they would call me the day before to remind me about the first Tuesday sale, as I certainly wouldn't have my life revolve around keeping track of when the first Tuesday of the month was arriving. The clerk said no, and so did I.

at least all these don't cost anything. But if you don't have one, they make the moneys off you. At giant tho, at least the one by my house, the cashier will have a card and swipe it for you if you don't have yours/don't have one. It just seems so pointless (well, for us anyway.. i'm sure they're using it to keep track of sales or something.. maybe targeted advertising or something).
