*Rant* Clearance does not mean 1 cent off

I saw a game on the clearance table at Officemax yesterday. I thought coolness, i looked at the clearance price and it was 9.99. It was not on the whole way so I pulled it up some more. It was covering a 10.00 regular price sticker

Coincidentally I saw some games on clearance at Staples as well(unlabeled and unmarked of course) Games were anywhere from 8-12 years old, so I thought they might be really cheap. They were 10 dollars a piece(We are talking Monopoly for windows 95, and that type oldness)

$10.00 is clearance price too - normal prices don't end in even digits. (Although the 1 cent off is stupid) I'm surprised those old old games weren't code 16'ed (destroyed)

reminds me of a record store i was in a few days ago... cd was selling for 3.99... look at the back of the cd and it is clearly printed (by the record company) "do not sell for more than 3.98"

lol, sometimes I get clearance software from Office Depot. Their clearance stuff generally runs about 4.98.
