So, I am a pretty big guy for an asian. 6'0" - 200 lbs and decently athletic. I play basketball with my friends every week, but I get fouled a whole bunch because of my size and I play pretty dominant (at least against my friends). This last week I was playing with them, and I got fouled landed on a puddle of water, slipped, and landed squarely on my back on the curb to the sidewalk. I was in so much pain I could barely walk, and I had to get two of my friends help me get back home. Been in pain ever since, and I am scheduling a doctors appt for Friday because I have some crucial projects at work and finals to take care of and also some things I promised I would do for some friends.
Anyone who knows me knows that I can handle pain very well, but this week I opted for some pain medication and I finally gave in and am going to see the doctor. What pisses me off is that it was a lousy game of 21 before the group was actually going to play. WTH compells some people to win no matter the cost? I mean who fouls hard on a game of 21? He didn't mean anything, but still, drives me nuts, because now I have to come to grips with the idea that this could either be a compression fracture (bruised bone fracture) on the spine, slipped disk, or nerve damage (I am leaning toward the first one since I am experiencing no tingling/numbness). It could also be a normal bruise, but I see no visible sign of a hematoma/contusion plus there is not much sensitivity on the skin itself, but an internal thing.
AGAIN, why would anyone foul on a stupid half court game of 21? It is mind boggling! :|
