RANT: AHA - Free Gift (PDA)

I joined the American Homeowner's Association a while back b/c they offered a free PDA to anyone who would join and you could cancel anytime and they refund the remaining money on the membership. Well that was back on April 3 when I got an email that said:

We have received your gift redemption certificate and forwarded your request to our fulfillment center. Your gift will be shipped promptly. Please look for it in the mail within 4 -8 weeks.

Well I still haven't received anything. Bastages....that's the last time I fall for the "free gift" scam...or not.
 
"Free gift scam?"

I think the scammer is you...you joined an organization just to milk them out of their gift.
 
I just called them and they said "We'll put one in the mail for your tomorrow, you will receive it in 7 business days or less." We shall see what happens now. And I'm not scamming them out of a gift. They assume things like this. Besides they've already gotten like 4 months out of me and they don't refund past months. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, and I may actually use their services this summer when I travel around.
