They sent me a new chill control, took 1.5 weeks to get it
Spent more time talking
They say they'll send me a second new chill control
That's where it now stands

Oh, I thought you were phase-change bashing. Anyway, because I want one. When it works, (rarely), it allows my FX-55 to go to 3.3 ghz. That's still 500 mhz better than a FX-57, and I have a clawhammer core.

What do you do with your computer that you need, and will notice, the power increase?

Of course, that's only when it works.

Awesome, isn't it? You'll eventually realize all the trouble of hardcore o/cing isn't worth it, unless you're a competitive bencher. For 24/7 use, it simply isn't worth overclocking significantly. Stability problems and sh!t breaking (whether it's your PC hardware or your cooling) really gets old after a while. It's taken me 4 years to realize this. Good luck
I'm hoping to buy an A64X2 and clock it to 2.5ghz, silently air cooled. Fast enough to last a couple years I hope![]()
