RANT: AE jeans are horrible

I have a pair of AE jeans that were made with small holes above the back pockets. Stupid, I think, but I've had them for almost a year and have had no problems. Plus, they are unbelievably comfortable so I don't care.

And jeebus, 26 waist? I'm damn scrawny and I wear 32x34.

that's my only thought. i love my AE jeans, they fit so great. if i can find them for 20 bucks again, i'll buy it in an instant... meaning i'll go back in about may when they start clearing out their spring lines.

I think all AE stuff is pretty cheap. All their shirts are paper thin. I guess that is the style but wash them a few times and they will fall apart.

Diesels are like $120. Same with Lucky Jeans. I have a friend that works at Lucky, he gets a 60% discount, which equals $40 for their cheapest pair.

Meanwhile, I have some Calvin Klein jeans I bought from Costco for $22.50.

I'm pretty much a straight legged Katherine Hammett, Diesel, J-Crew kinda guy. I don't like em tapered either. I'd rather wear bell bottoms or die than wear tapered!

Levi's are where its at. I've had Lee's rip apart on me in like 2 weeks, I've had AE's rip, a buncha other brands rip, but I've never had a pair of Levi's rip. Even the "distressed" styles that have a high potential of ripping have never ripped.
