Ok, I hear the comments saying "wear what everyone else wears." Well, isn't wearing Ralph Lauren "wearing what everyone else wears." I see tons of people wearing Ralph Lauren clothes or what about Levis? I see so many people wearing those brands....why? Is it because everyone else is wearing them? Maybe not, it must be the pricing since Abercrombie is soooo expensive....yet I see Ralph Lauren stuff just as expensive and Levis...yep. I've seen $40 shirts, $60 jeans, etc.
Now about the whole worn in look/faded/distressed/whatever close manufacturers want to call it. If you want to buy jeans with a hold through them or a hat thats tattered or some jeans that looked old and worn out, go for it. It's the 'style' of that particular clothing, brand, etc. People do know they are buying 'pre worn' clothing.
People are saying Abercrombie plasters their name all over their clothes. I see the same thing from Nike, Polo, Levi, etc. I have a pair of Levi pants and on the cargo pocket it says silvertab, on my windbreaker there is a Nike swoosh sign on it. So many of the clothing companies are similar since they seem to plaster logos or names on their clothes. The clothing doesnt even have to be a brand name and companies will still put their name on it since some of the stuff you can find at target or walmart has the company's name on the clothing.
I do agree with the fact that when people are made fun of beacause they arent wearing a particular brand, being Abercrombie or whatever other company, is stupid. Some people might not like the style or not have the money dont want to spend the money on clothes.
Basically, you arent pissed off at Abercrombie, you are pissed off at the whole clothing industry and anyone who puts names on their clothing. The fact is, is that brands sell and there is no getting around that. People may associate quality, or lack there of with different brands. Same thing can go for electronics..for example, Sony. Sony usually charges a slight premium on their products because its a brand name.
