In my opinion, it is way too intrusive and much more aggressive than other alternatives and is less effective, unlike Malwarebytes, IObit, BitDefender and so on. It is not 100% guaranteed to prevent ransomware, no software is. They all have their advantaged and disadvantages some work more efficiently against different types of ransomwares. In general, standard practice is always to keep your windows updated, have any form of active anti-virus running on your computer, as that usually prevents a large margin of intrusions. If it's possible, avoid clicking unrecognized links, filter your spam in emails (Gmail does that by default).
When it comes to anti-ransomwares, they are usually designed to work with another active anti-virus system, therefore if you have for example Avast anti-virus, it is most effective to use Avast's anti-ransomeware and so on. Good luck!
