On a scale of 1-10, what would be the difficulty of reassembling a floppy drive be? What about a powersupply? Check the poll and see what others think!

BTW I feel proud today that I was able to reassemble a disassembled floppy drive (wasn't working for about 2 months).

Unless you've got a cleanroom in your house, it's next to impossible to reassemble a hard drive and have it work.

what do you mean reassemble? like you have all the pieces of it sitting on a table and you rebuild it?

There was a guy online who made a drive window in a fujitsu 2GB HDD and it still works to this day. As soon as he was done opening up the drive, he put it in a plastic container and then worked outside with the cover, seems like it's possible. I opened up a broked fujitsu 2GB LAPTOP HDD and it only got dust on it like 10 minutes later...

Todays HD are no longer sealed tight. They are no longer as sensitive to head crashes due to dust. I took my old 4GB drive and removed the cover. Runs fine with the cover off. Obviously, I won't be placing any important data on this HD, but it does indeed work in a non-sterile environment.
