Range Extenders and Bridges

Are they the same thing?

My router is in the back of the house and one-half of my living room in the front of the house has a dead spot. I have a plant shelf up high where I coulf conceal a device. Are these products what I should be looking at?
My router is the SMC7004VWBR

You should look for a product that is a Network Repeater or Range Extenders.

Both products that you mention can do it.

When using such products it is better to use the same Brand. I.e. in your case the SMC.

Be advised that a Repeater would cut the Bandwidth of the Extended Wireless into half.
