Please help me to solve this problem.
I want to able to extend my wireless range. so i bough this Airlink due to the facts that this thing has "Also works as a Point-to-Point bridge, Point-to-Multipoint bridge, Repeater, and Wireless Client". Repeater, which will make my signal stronger.
The problem is how do you set up so that I can surf the web with better signal.
My setting diagram:
phone line -->(to) dsl modem--->netgear 54g wirless router in the kitchen(i put it there because i have no phone line in the gargage)
I put Airlink repeater in the garage.
I set SSID as "networking" on both "netgear and airlink", and set channel 1 for both. And I used the default gateway "192.168.0.1" on both too.
The thing is when I open the wireless card adapter utility software, I see two wireless name "networking and channel 1".
I know this must be wrong because the signal for my "netgear 54g" is still low. help me out plz.

Set your stuff in the garage to the higher signal. It will show two different AP's but if the repeater is setup correctly, it will repeat the signal correctly, just set it to the higher signal AP and things should work correctly, if the repeater is setup correctly.
