<< it's the young'uns that are taking care of business - guys like Damian Miller (.294 BA, 5HR, 21RBI), Junior Spivey (.362 BA, 15 RBI), Danny Bautista (.329 BA, 15 RBI), and Craig Counsell (.287 BA, 11 RBI) >>

LOL, Miller is 32, Spivey is 27, Bautista is almost 30 and Counsell is almost 33. You call those "young'uns"?

How about a real "young'un" named Alfonso Soriano? A mere 24 years old (14 multi-hit games, .382 BA, 4HR, 15RBI, 6SB). Or if we want to use your definition of a "young'un" which is anyone between 27 and 32 years old, then I can also mention Jeter, Giambi, and Posada, but I won't go into unnecessary details about their accomplishments so far this season.

Sure, in the context that those four have never really been full time players (with the exception of Counsell) and the fact that they didn't contribute much if at all last year. I mean, c'mon, Gonzo is like 38, Matt Williams is like 39 . . . you have to put it in perspective.

Everybody knows the best pitcher in the league is Roy Oswalt of the Houston Astros :)

Or at least he will be next year, and he's making a strong run this year.

Randy Johnson was much more fun to watch in his early days when he had no control. The look of terror in some of the batter's faces was priceless.

BTW, The Mariners suck. Nice thing about that, though, is that my UPS driver was stupid enough to bet me on last night's game.:D
