He'll go first ballot. 300 wins is a huge milestone, and he was the dominant pitcher of his time (in his prime). He and Pedro Martinez are two locks for first ballot HOF.

Zane's brother eh? I hear they were at the bar chasing trannies the other day. They didn't like their deep voices though.

got to see him live once
We were lucky to have him here in Seattle. My wife knew a player on the team all through school, so we went to many games in the lean years.
We also watched Nolan Ryan throw his last pitch. It went wild and he just walked off the mound.
The batter before that was a no name guy with about 240 at bats in his entire MLB career, Dann Howitt. He hit a grand slam off Ryan. His arm was done.

Great pitcher. I can only imagine the fear a batter would have seeing that big, ugly monster on the mound.

The Big Unit has to be one of the best sports nicknames ever, especially considering his name is Randy Johnson and he is very tall. :p

Damn, thought you mean Randy "The Dawg" Jackson, from American Idol. Would've been more exciting for me.

i would rather he retire now than limp along for another 4 - 5 years trying to obtain that mark and look horrible doing so.

Agreed. His past few years didn't indicate that getting to 5k Ks would be easy. It's simply amazing that he has lasted this long and has that many strikeouts to begin with.
