Randomly the forum gets really slow

Not slow as in pages taking long to load, but just typing, or even clicking a link, the page randomly freezes so anything you do stops working, ex: not getting hand icon if trying to hover a link, or you type and then it freezes mid way. I had to type this in a text file and paste it in order to post.

This seems to be on and off. There must be some kind of script that causes everything to block. Anyone else get this every now and then? It's been bad latetly. When it happens, "Web Content" process is using 100% cpu. Running Firefox on Linux.
 
No problems here with Firefox on a Windows 10 PC. Only thing allowed in noscript is anandtech.com. Ublock Origin also installed fwiw.
 
I think it was my machine, it only has 8GB of ram and starts to slow down after a while. It ended up locking up so I was forced to reboot and it's been ok. But still there's some weird business going on with the text boxes here as it was only doing it on this forum. I have more ram on order.
 
It isn't just Firefox. I'm running Chrome on Win10 with ublock origin and noscript extensions, and these slow-downs or pages hanging have been happening on and off for at least a week.

Anandtech is the only site I've seen this happening on.
 
Yeah, It had high CPU usage, ate a lot of memory and slow everything down.
Probably sorted out the issues long time ago, but I already switched to Ghostery, however.
 
Not exactly a forum issue pe rse, but when trying to access AT front page I get an error. Oh wait, it's fixed now all of a sudden lol.
 
Even with 16GB it's doing it now and then. I'll be typing then it just freezes midway and then all the characters appear at once. It only does in on this forum. There must be some rogue script running or something that's slowing down the browser.
