A week ago I got sick in bed (but not the puking type of sick, just feeling weird, and screwed up, hard to explain. + cold/sinus on top of that as well as a head ache but not too major. I had almost a migraine, but not really enough pain, and light did not really bother me, but sound did (was very muffled and very low frequency).

So this turned into a regular cold and I went to work for rest of week, the worse was the weekend then got better on monday.

Now today I've started randomly getting this liquid that comes out of my nose. It's not mucus. It's almost like stomac acid coming out of the nose. It usually flows from the top portion of right nostril.

Anyone ever get this before? I did some research on google and it does not look promising. Some have said it to be "brain liquid" requiring major head/skull surgery.

    Could be spinal fluid.

Go to the doctor, ASAP. the only time I have ever heard of this it was what you are fearing, the fluid that cushions the brain.
If it turns out to be something harmless, nothing was lost. If it is something bad, better catch it soon then wait!

WTF Mate? I've seen some crazy medical questions here, and most didn't warrant the "Go see a fucking Dr. and quit asking us!" answer....but goddamn son....this one does.

just to keep you from bruising its tissues and becoming a mental vegetable.

The worst risk here is from the possibility to get an infection back through wherever it is leaking, as that would be 100% lethal. The sooner it is fixed, the better, as the possibility of getting an infection like that is extremely high and gets higher every day its like that.

Dibs on your 'puter and toys! :p

Seriously, the "some" who said that, were they passing strangers, medical professionals, other red squirrels? Perhaps the cute, semi-virginal checkout girl in the 10 items or less line at your local Piggly Wiggly?

If you have any reasonable doubt about the seriousness of your condition, get thee to a physician, don't mess.

Seems all research I'm doing points towards that, so even wondering if I should go to the ER now, or get some rest and go tomorrow.

Uh... I actually believe that's clear; but OP, if it's not mucus, go to the effing doctor! ATOT is not the place to be if you're leaking odd fluids from your body. Go get it dealt with.

Good lord. You think your brain is leaking and you still won't go to a doctor.

I have had clear yellow mucus keep running out of my nose for a week after one cold (and only one), it was thinner then what you would get if you eat really spicy food.

It however came from both nostrils and flowed out as it would from a regular runny nose. Your case is similar but different from what you describe, at the minimum see if you can see your doctor asap and if you do worry about it go to the ER.

    Lets look at your options:
1- Go to the ER and it turns out to be nothing and you feel like a fool.
2- You shrug it off and never wake up again.

    Your call.

I had a friend who had brain surgery when he was younger. Everytime he has a cold now, at some point (usually when the cold is almost / pretty much gone) a yellow fluid just leaks from his nose. He says it's almost the same consistency as water and gets sticky when it dries. He's gone to the doctor about it. I haven't asked him what the doctor said, but the doctor didn't give him any medication or anything so I'm guessing it's not serious.

You should go see a doctor though.

I hate to tell you this, but it looks you are slowly becoming a zombie. Looks like the infection has started. Good thing I have a zombie preparedness kit.

On a serious note, do as others here have told you.

If you haven't had any head trauma in the recent past chance are it's not a CSF leak and most likely a sinus infection. Any facial pain/pressure that gets worse when you hunch over?

    It's NEVER lupus.

prob a bad sinus infection but you should see a doctor to make sure it's not spinal fluid
