Hello,
I have recently built my own PC and thought everything would be OK until it restarts and/or shuts down consistently. This problem happens in different ways. One way is when I am playing a game "League of Legends" to be exact. The game loads up fine but once I am in, the problems can occur at any time. At first I thought it was a GPU issue since most of the time the screen turns blue with scratch marks on it and then restarts. Also, during the game I would be able to see artifacts and a lot of "screen refreshes". When the screen refreshes I get a notification on the bottom right corner saying the Monitor is being refreshed. However, this wouldn't only happen when playing a game.
This would happen even when I surf the web either using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer as my browsers. Although most of the time when I surf the web my computer restarts in a different way. It shows up with a blue screen (Windows 8 Version) with the sad face and usually says "There has been an issue with (several things) and needs to restart." Sometimes its Memory Management and sometimes its Critical Error or random numbers/letters like a000001 for example. Since I thought it was a GPU problem I tried a different GPU called (2nd GPU) EVEA Nividia Geforce GTX 760 which had the same problem as my last one. Now I am stumped on what the problem could be since I was pretty confident that was the issue.
I have tried several things to fix the problem but it didn't do anything. One of the things I did was lowering the GPU Clock and Memory Clock while increasing the speed of the fan because I thought it might be getting overheated. I was wrong on that since I checked the temp and it was fine. Another thing I did was lowering the video graphics in the game (League of Legends) but the same issues occurred.
Do any of you have an idea as to why my computer is randomly restarting/shutting down/getting artifacts during game play and do you know how I can fix this? Keep in mind everything is new. Thank You.
