ok after i went through all the other problems that i had, i ended up on one that i cant seem to solve. i am worried however that it is hardware related; but i am hoping to get some ideas from all of you smart ppl out there.

the problem is this: the computer restarts at seemingly random times, and each time it restarts, it seems to restart sooner than the last time; until the computer is shut down properly from the start menu that is...but that very well may be unrelated. my guess is power instability, but i was hoping to get some feedback before i go through the trouble and expense of buying another one when this one is new...

anyways, thanks in advance for your feedback!

Run memtest I have a hunch it's the memory causing the restarts. Your PS should handle what you got.

If you installed the hardware monitoring progam the board comes with. CHeck your temps and voltages. Make sure nothing looks weird.

it seems that with the catalist drivers uninstalled, therefore no graphics drivers other than the stock, the computer does not randomly restart anymore...or so it hasnt yet and it has been used a bit over this time in that setting. is it possible that the ati graphics driver is to blame for the random restarts? i have never seen such a thing before. my guess was ps or ram (memtest86 completed successfully 3x with no errors btw). anyways, any input would be greatly appreciated!
